Privacy policy
Kite Mailer (“Kite”, “we”) is a transactional email service operated by Africa Code Foundry. This policy explains what information Kite handles and why.
Information we collect
- Sign-in. When you sign in with Google we receive your email address and a Google account identifier. We request no other Google data and no access to your mailbox.
- Workspace data. Organizations, members, projects, sender domains, templates, and API keys (stored only as hashes) that you create in the console.
- Messages. Email you send through Kite, including recipient addresses and content, plus delivery, bounce, and complaint events reported by our email provider.
- Operational logs. Request metadata such as timestamps and error codes, used to run and secure the service.
How we use it
Only to provide the service: authenticate you, deliver your messages, show delivery history, honour suppressions, prevent abuse, and send service email such as welcome messages. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Service providers
Kite runs on Cloudflare (hosting and storage) and Amazon Web Services (email delivery), and uses Google for sign-in. They process data on our behalf under their own terms.
Retention
Sign-in sessions expire after eight hours. Message records and delivery events are kept for a limited period and removed automatically. Suppression entries for bounced or complaining addresses are kept so we do not email them again.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete information about you. If you received email sent through Kite, contact the sender first; they control that message and list.
